The first Covela wine to be certified as organic. Fermentation is spontaneous in French and Austrian oak casks where the wine rests for about six months. Being an Avesso, this wine never loses its freshness, intensity and persistence in a very gastronomic profile. Good ageing potential.
The first Covela wine to be certified as organic, this Avesso Reserva is very special for us at Lima & Smith Lda., firstly because it represents our dream of taking Avesso to a higher level of excellence, and also because it proves Avesso’s ability to produce extraordinary wines. The grapes are harvested by hand from the granite terraces of Covela, overlooking the Douro River at the southeastern end of the Vinho Verde region. Fermentation is spontaneous in French and Austrian oak casks where the wine rests for about six months. The result is a lithe, balanced wine with an elegant, floral and delicate aroma with notes of apple and peach. Being an Avesso, this wine never loses its freshness, intensity and persistence in a very gastronomic profile. Good ageing potential.
